{ London Mystery } Day 20
Holdup, holdup! We aint leaving England just yet! I know y’all are really smart, so tonight, you are going to solve a murder mystery. Is anybody dead? Oh, no? ok, good. (I hope nobody dies... hehe) Here's your challenge: Your challenge is to find the murderer List of suspects: Syanna Jeff Probst Jack The Ripper Lemonader666 Kate Webster Gordon Cummins Thomas Neill Cream The London Burkers Elizabeth Brownrigg Edith Thompson Frederick Bywaters rickms Adelaide Bartlett Ian Huntley Mick Philpott Mairead Philpott Beverley Gail Allitt Anxiang Du John Thomas Straffen Stephen John Port Jeremy Bamber Edward William Pritchard George Joseph Smith Harold Frederick Shipman Catherine Wilson
Your task is to find out which one of these people killed Jeff Probst. A tribe will have 6 hours to ask a question on this thead, and I’ll answer with “Yes”, “No” or “Invalid”, and then it will be the other tribe’s turn, that will repeat until either 24 hours are up, somebody guesses the murderer or everyone is out of questions. If a tribe doesn’t ask a question within the time limit, their turn will be skipped. Guessing a person will be a yes/no question on the thread, if a tribe chooses the right person they win the challenge and immunity. EVERYONE CAN ASK ONLY ONE QUESTION. A tribe can guess a person only 3 times. Guessing a person does not count as a "real question" and the person who posts it will not lose their question. Some suggestions for questions are: “Does the murderer have the letter X in their name”, “Is the murderer male?”, “Did the murderer murder their victims via X?” This challenge will end when a tribe guesses the right person. If neither of the tribes guess the right person, well... fused tribal council! If nobody guesses the person in 24 hours, there will be a fused tribal as well. Vuravura will start.

Background: HMS Dreadnought was a Royal Navy battleship that revolutionised naval power. Her name and the type of the entire class of warships that was named after her stems from archaic English in which "dreadnought" means "a fearless person".[1] Dreadnought's entry into service in 1906 represented such an advance in naval technology that its name came to be associated with an entire generation of battleships, the "dreadnoughts", as well as the class of ships named after it. Likewise, the generation of ships she made obsolete became known as "pre-dreadnoughts". Admiral Sir John "Jacky" Fisher, First Sea Lord of the Board of Admiralty, is credited as the father of Dreadnought. Shortly after he assumed office, he ordered design studies for a battleship armed solely with 12-inch (305 mm) guns and a speed of 21 knots (39 km/h; 24 mph). He convened a "Committee on Designs" to evaluate the alternative designs and to assist in the detailed design work.
Dreadnought was the first battleship of her era to have a uniform main battery, rather than having a few large guns complemented by a heavy secondary armament of smaller guns. She was also the first capital ship to be powered by steam turbines, making her the fastest battleship in the world at the time of her completion.[2] Her launch helped spark a naval arms race as navies around the world, particularly the German Imperial Navy, rushed to match it in the build-up to World War I.[3]
Ironically for a vessel designed to engage enemy battleships, her only significant action was the ramming and sinking of German submarine SM U-29, becoming the only battleship confirmed to have sunk a submarine.[4] Dreadnought did not participate in the Battle of Jutland in 1916 as she was being refitted. Nor did Dreadnought participate in any of the other World War I naval battles. In May 1916 she was relegated to coastal defence duties in the English Channel, not rejoining the Grand Fleet until 1918. The ship was reduced to reserve in 1919 and sold for scrap two years later.

Steve would like to guess Gordon Cummins? That's correct. Wai win immunity. Sorry for those who couldn't participate in the challenge, I wasn't expecting everyone to be so active and to get the person so fast. Vuravura, you have 24 hours to vote. I have tried to make every challenge unique and "never seen before", but so far it hasn't worked out :/. Guess recycling challenges is the way to go in the future.

Some of the challenges have been a blast. Even though some of the challenges have been shorter, it brings more flavor to it. Maybe next time you start this type of challenge or something similiar, you can do it 12 hours ahead of this time so that the people who are sleeping get to participate in these challenges too

Instead I vas at vork But my point is that as forumers, ve are rather far spread vhen it comes to timezones. Vhile I believe that hosts should try to post challenges at their earliest convenience, there vill likely never be a time vhen everyvone vill be able to participate. So even if it vas tvelve hours earlier, vone, the host may not have been able to vork vith that time, and tvo, you still von’t have complete participation as some vill still be sleeping.
